JVC HD PROJECTOR

The DLA-HD2K projector uses three 0.8-inch D-ILA devices developed by JVC to produce full HD (1920x1080; 2.1 mega-pixels) resolution images for impeccable reproduction quality. JVC's proprietary D-ILA technology results in even, clear images that virtually eliminate the "grid". D-ILA technology also employs analog gradation to achieve vivid color reproduction.

• New Optimum Color Illumination System optimizes the "F" value of red, green and blue (RGB) components to drastically reduce dissipation in the light path that leads to loss of contrast.

• New Dynamic Square Aperture projection lens features an all-glass, all-aluminum barrel construction. By optimizing the aperture to the zoom position, the new projection lens delivers the same level of high contrast from tele to wide.

• 250 watt extra-high pressure mercury lamp reduces power consumption and running costs

HD Projection Systems using new High Definition, 1080 Progressive D-ILA chips, achieving the look, feel and resolution of cinema film. The systems are 2-part with an umbilical digital link, comprising a newly-designed elegant projector head, containing three native 1920 x 1080 (full HD resolution) Progressive D-ILA chips. Perfect for high-end home cinema, and ideal for critical viewing areas such as post production colour grading of "digital intermediates", screening rooms, life-size CAD design, 3-D graphics and animated walk-throughs.

• Choice of two similarly priced zoom range options, one mid-throw, the other short throw
• Choice of two video processors: LD-HD2K operates exclusively in the digital domain; LD-HD1K is an AV hub with a wide range of analogue and digital video inputs, plus digital audio switching
• Three native, progressive mode 1920 x 1080 D-ILA chips provide film-like representation of HDTV video and graphics, with rich natural colours that are totally free of artefacts (cf the flicker and rainbow effects of some competing display technologies)
• New DSA feature (Dynamic Square Aperture) gives 2,500:1 contrast ratio
• D-ILA's layer of liquid crystal virtually eliminates any visibility of the pixel structure
• Short-range zoom: 1.4x (1.5 to 2.1 : 1)
