The FC-20 is a broadcast quality bi-directional
transcoder for DV (IEEE 1394a - FireWireŽ ) and SDI (SMPTE 259M) signals. It
converts a DV video and digital audio (FireWire) input to an SDI (with embedded
audio) output or an SDI input to a DV output.
Typical Applications:

Any 50Hz/60Hz
interlaced display system requiring conversion between RGB and
YUV

Multimedia, home
theater and presentation applications

Conversion to YUV
from an RGB SCART source (for example, a set-top box or a DVD
player)
