Wireless connectivity
The PVE400E supports Motorola Expedience® proprietary wireless protocol based on the IEEE 802/16(e) standard.

Management and Control
The PVE400E can be managed and monitored from either an Incident Response Command Post or from a Central Operations Control Centre - delivering real-time video and audio information from outdoor environments back to a centrally managed control location in order to communicate true "Point-of-View" situational awareness. Real-time broadcasting for "point-of-view" situational awareness can be critical in many environments, from surveillance to inspection under extreme conditions. However, networks cannot be relied upon to be 100-percent failsafe. Combining local recording with simultaneous wireless transmission delivers a layer of redundancy, with the assurance that the entire event can be documented. Available as a standalone unit, its built-in ability to support a variety of generic analog video cameras, to operate via battery or external DC feed, and to act as both a video encoder/recorder and wireless router for locally attached IP devices, ensures the PVE400E has the flexibility to integrate and adapt to a number of deployment scenarios. Access to a PVE400E and can be offered through a simple web browser. Multiple units management is supported through the VideoSpider™ Console as well as Milestone XProtect™ and OnSSI™ NetDVMS.

Robust
Developed for the most challenging environments, the PVE400E Portable Video Encoder/Streamer is a robust, single channel video encoder for capturing, encoding, recording to internal solid state storage and streaming high quality MPEG-4 video and audio through a wireless interface. This compact and portable unit supports field-operational features such as Fischer Auto-Locking/Quick-release Interfaces, Aluminum rugged encasement, Waterproof camera and Field-replaceable Lithium-ion battery, specifically designed to meet the needs of harsh operating conditions or critical/emergency response teams.
