Model : HDMA4000
Grass Valley HDMA4000 is a compact, high quality, high definition (HD) video
playback system with scheduled playback, video-on-demand playback and serial
control functionality. Content can be added easily over a PC network, or from
external storage via the USB port. The user-friendliness and versatility of HD
video playback with the HDMA4000 unit makes it perfect for high-end product
promotions, showrooms, kiosks, museums and art galleries, and dynamic retail
network environments. In fact anywhere where there is the need for a greater
persuasive power than conventional SD media.
Four HDMA4000 models are available, each with a different storage capacity;
choose from either a 40GB or 80GB internal hard disk model, or a 1GB or 2GB
internal silicon disk model.

HD video is currently the most talked-about medium for sales promotion and
information communication. With HDMA4000, presenting sharp, high resolution HD
video couldn’t be easier. High resolution HD video has far greater appeal to
viewers than conventional SD-resolution video. It has a strong persuasive power,
leading to highly efficient sales promotion and information communication.
In addition to simply playing back HD video, the HDMA4000 unit can be used for
scheduled playback, where video content is played back according to a
user-defined schedule. Viewers can also access content on-demand, either by
using the supplied remote control, or through a third-party touch panel that
operates over an RS-232 serial interface.
There are two methods available for changing content: via a network (potentially
even via the Internet) and via external USB storage devices. Both systems have
simple interfaces making them easy enough for anyone to quickly change the
content.
The HDMA4000 unit is a compact size of around 6in (W) × 10in (D) × 2in (H) and
only about 4.5lbs in weight, but contains all the required functions from video
content storage to playback. As such, any place with a television or PC monitor
can be used as a screening location.
HDMA4000 units are able to accept commands (subsets) compatible with commercial
Pioneer DVD/LD players. This enables a smooth transition from DVD/LD players to
HD, making it easy for art galleries, museums and other public buildings to
upgrade their existing LD or DVD video systems to HD.
