Using an IVM 4 wireless in-ear monitor system in conjunction
with a WMS 4500 and/or WMS 450 wireless microphone system is a
complete, single-source professional solution for any
application including the most complex live acts. The PSU 4000
central power supply powers the rack mounted SPC 4 antenna
combiners and PS 4000 antenna splitters. All transmitters and
receivers in the system are powered via the internal antenna
cables. What's more, this kind of multichannel system requires
only a single transmitting antenna and two receiving antennas.
In the example drawing shown on this page, the signals of eight
SST 4 stereo transmitters are combined into a single antenna
signal. The daisy-chaining capability of the antenna combiners
allows up to 16 channels to be fed to a single antenna. The IVM
4 frequencies being coordinated with the wireless microphone
frequencies, the setup-to-soundcheck time for a multichannel
system including wireless in-ear monitors is not appreciably
longer than for a conventional wireless microphone system alone.
In the example drawing the entire wireless system including the
SST 4 stereo transmitters, SPC 4 antenna combiners, SR 4500 and
PS 4000 and PSU 4000 components occupies no more than 17 U of
rack space.
