When an actor wears a tie, noise is unavoidable from friction between tie and shirt.

A successful placement of the microphone could be in the knot of the tie with the microphone inside this soft tie pod with double-sided tape outside the pod.

The holder will be fixed, the tie can be tightened around it and the microphone grid is hidden in the pod and will not pick up friction noise.
