Product Code:SNCDF70P
Overview
Outstanding quality
MPEG-4 compression with Adaptive Rate Control ensures stable, high quality pictures with network-efficient bandwidth requirements, delivering high frame rates up to 30 fps at QVGA resolution via the 1/4 type IT Super HAD CCD sensor.
The camera supports audio transmission from either its own in-built microphone or an external line input, and the in-built vari-focal lens provides optimum coverage over any desired area. Smart vector motion detection provides more efficient activity detection with reduced risk of false triggers.
Features
Rugged Design
The SNC-DF70P is
specially designed to be
used for outdoor
surveillance or indoors
for vandal resistant
applications. The
cameras are housed in a
heavy-duty aluminium
die-cast enclosure with
a durable polycarbonate
viewing window. These
cameras comply with the
IP66 standard for
protection against water
and dust.
Superior Picture Quality
The SNC-DF70P Series
incorporates a 1/4-type
Super HADTM CCD that
achieves high horizontal
resolution of 480 TV
lines (analogue video
output) and high
sensitivity. The CCD
imager provides a
minimum illumination of
0.9 lx at F1.0, enabling
capture of clear images
even under low light
conditions.
MPEG-4 and JPEG
Compression Formats
The SNC-DF70P supports
both the MPEG-4 and JPEG
compression formats. The
high compression ratio
of MPEG-4 provides
smooth moving images
over networks even when
bandwidth is limited. If
higher quality, still
images are preferred,
then the industry
standard JPEG
compression format is
selectable from the
setup menu. The
SNC-DF70P also supports
variable bit rates up to
2 Mb/s.
High Frame Rate
The SNC-DF Series
produces images at a
maximum frame rate of
25fps when the image
size is 320 x 240 in
both MPEG-4 and JPEG
modes, producing clear
and smooth moving
images.
Audio Monitoring
Incorporating an
external microphone
input, the SNC-DF70P is
capable of picking up
sound from the camera
site clearly. The unit
is also equipped with an
audio line output for
active speakers. This
allows users to
communicate with the
remote site, expanding
the capability of remote
monitoring applications.
Day/Night Function
The SNC-DF70P features a
'Day/Night' capability,
which provides optimised
sensitivity in both day
and night shooting
applications. As the
scene darkens, an
infrared filter is
automatically replaced
with a clear filter and
the camera switches to
B&W mode, allowing for
operation at a minimum
illumination of 0.2 lx
at F1.0, or 0 lx using
an IR Illuminator from
3rd party vendors.
Adaptive Rate Control
In order to control QoS
(Quality of Service)
levels over a network,
the SNC-DF70P employs an
adaptive rate control
function. This function
automatically varies the
video bit transfer rate
to meet changing network
conditions. Adaptive
rate control also
selects the most
appropriate frame rates,
preventing audio and
video breakup.
Simultaneous Access
Up to 20 users in JPEG
mode or 10 users in
MPEG-4 mode can
simultaneously access
the SNC-DF70P and
monitor images
separately.
Benefits
Ruggedised mini-fixed
dome camera for discrete
observation
The SNC-DF70P is more
discreet than
traditional security
cameras making it ideal
for surveillance sites
where video cameras
should be less
noticeable such as
schools, police stations
and discotheque
entrances. In addition
to the discreteness,
Sony's original sleek
triangular design of the
cameras fits smartly
into any surveillance
site. An optional
in-ceiling mounting
bracket is available for
an even more discrete
profile.
Especially suited for
hostile environments
The SNC-DF70P is
designed to perform
under extreme conditions
where there may be a
risk of unwanted
violence or industrial
areas thanks to its
heavy-duty enclosure
endure. Also, anti-theft
screws are to prevent
any attempts to steal or
break the camera.
MPEG-4 video compression
reduces transmission
bandwidth requirements
The SNC-DF70P allows you
to select M-JPEG or
MPEG-4 compression
format to achieve
high-compression
allowing smooth moving
images to be streamed
over a wide range of
bandwidths.
Getting the complete
picture thanks to
bi-directional audio
Equipped with a
microphone input, the
SNC-DF70P can be
configured with a
microphone so that
audio, including sound
from distant objects,
can be monitored at the
camera site. Users can
send an alert or make an
announcement to the
audio line output,
significantly expanding
the possibilities for
remote monitoring
applications.
Excellent performance
under low light
conditions
Sony ExwaveHAD
technology allows the
SNC-DF70P to give
outstanding performance
in monitoring and
surveillance
applications dealing
with very low light
conditions.
Single Cable operation
for easy installation
The SNC-DF70P offers a
choice of three
different power
supplies. AC 24 V or DC
12 V can be supplied
through the standard
power terminal while
Power-over-Ethernet
simplifies installation
by reducing the need for
additional cables for
power.
Monitoring day and night
The SNC-DF70P offers a
'Day/Night' function to
provide optimised
sensitivity in both day
and night environments.
As the scene darkens the
camera switches to B/W
mode, requiring a
minimum illumination of
less than 0.01 lx.
Built-in CS Mount,Auto
Iris Vari-Focal Lens
The SNC-DF70P comes with
a built-in CS mount,
auto iris vari-focal
lens with a focal length
of 3.0 to 8.0 mm to
cover a broad range of
viewing choices and
feature a masked dome
cover with a clear slit.
The versatile lens
compensates the focal
length difference
between visible light
and infrared light. The
result is clear and
crisp images (the
subject remains in
focus) when going from
visible to infrared
light and vice versa.
