Samyang 8mm T3.8 UMC Fish-eye CS II is a sophisticated wide-angle fisheye lens desinged for cropped sensor DSLRs and professional camcorders. Its optical construction is the same as 8mm F3.5
Fish-eye CS II, except that it's specially developed for filming purposes.
The Samyang VDSLR Cine lenses are rated in T-stops rather than F-stops. The F-stop expresses the speed of the lens on the assumption that the lens transmits 100% of the incident light. The
T-number pexresses the actual light transmission. Samyang's Cine lenses are rated in T-stops, and thus ensure accuracy for exposure purposes in filming.
Its optic comprise of 10 lens elements arranged in 7 groups. The product's optical parameters are extremely high, thanks to the hybrid aspherical element and multi-layered anti-reflection UMC
coatings. The Samyang 8mm T3.8 VDSLR Fish-eye CS II is a manual focus lens, and offers a very large depth of field / depth of focus. The 8mm T3.8 VDSLR Fish-eye CSII features a removable lens
hood for shooting on full frame cameras to produce the widest image circles. It's designed for APS-C sensor cameras, yet on full frames, it gives a wide field of view, which is ideal for panoramas
and 3D virtual tours.
