The Extron DTP T FB 232 is a
two-input transmitter that sends HDMI or VGA, audio, and control up
to 230 feet (70 meters) over a shielded CATx cable. The DTP
transmitter is compatible with floor boxes from OBO Bettermann, MK
by Honeywell, Electraplan, and PUK. The DTP T FB 232 supports
computer-video to 1920x1200, including HDTV 1080p/60 Deep Color and
2K. It features automatic switching between inputs and RS-232
remote control for easy operation in unmanaged locations, plus
assignment of the stereo analog audio pass-through input. The
transmitter also supports bidirectional RS-232 and IR pass-through
for AV device control at remote locations. Designed for DTP
Systems, the DTP T FB 232 can be remotely powered by Extron DTP
CrossPoint® 84 matrix switchers or other DTP-enabled
products.

• Designed to
mount in a variety of floor boxes — The unique form factor
provides a flexible, floor box mounting solution that is compatible
with offerings from OBO Bettermann - GB2 and GB3 slots, MK by
Honeywell, Electraplan, and PUK.
• Transmits HDMI or analog video, control, and analog audio
up to 230 feet (70 meters) over a shielded CATx cable — The
DTP T FB 232 provides high reliability and maximum performance on
an economical and easily installed cable infrastructure.
• Inputs: One HDMI, one VGA on 15-pin HD, one 3.5 mm stereo
mini jack for audio
• Output: One DTP 230 twisted pair output on RJ-45
• One HDMI input and one VGA input — The DTP T FB 232
allows for switching between HDMI and analog video sources.
• Auto-switching between inputs — Auto-switching allows
for simple, unmanaged installation within floor boxes. When
multiple inputs are active, the highest-numbered input with an
active video signal takes priority.
• Supports computer-video to 1920x1200, including HDTV
1080p/60 Deep Color and 2K — The DTP T FB 232 fully supports
digital signal transmission up to 230 feet (70 meters) over a
shielded twisted pair cable and maintains superior image quality at
the highest resolutions.
• Compatible with CATx shielded twisted pair cable —
Shielded twisted pair cabling with solid center conductor sizes of
24 AWG or better is recommended for optimal performance.
• Extron XTP DTP 24 shielded twisted pair cable is strongly
recommended for optimal performance
• DTP output is compatible with HDBaseT-enabled devices
— The DTP output can be configured to send video and embedded
audio, plus bidirectional RS-232 and IR signals to an
HDBaseT-enabled display.
• Accepts additional analog stereo audio signals — The
DTP T FB 232 supports a direct pass-through connection for stereo
analog audio signals for simultaneous transmission over the same
shielded twisted pair cable. Analog audio is not embedded onto the
digital video signal.
• Audio input assignment — The analog audio input can
be assigned to any video input, or it can be set to follow the
input switch.
• Supports multiple embedded audio formats — The DTP T
FB 232 is compatible with a broad range of multi-channel audio
signals, providing reliable operation with HDMI sources.
• Bidirectional RS-232 and IR pass-through for AV device
control — Bidirectional RS-232 control and IR signals can be
transmitted alongside the video signal, allowing remote AV devices
to be controlled without the need for additional cabling.
• Remote power capability — For simplified
installation, the transmitter can be remotely powered by a
DTP-enabled product over the twisted pair connection.
• Digital conversion of analog input signals — Analog
signals are digitized, ensuring that a reliable, high quality
digital video signal is sent to the output destination.
• HDCP compliant — Fully supports HDCP-encrypted
sources, with selectable authorization for unencrypted content.
• Supported HDMI specification features include data rates up
to 6.75 Gbps, Deep Color up to 12-bit, 3D, and HD lossless audio
formats
• EDID Minder® automatically manages EDID communication
between connected devices — EDID Minder ensures that all
sources power up properly and reliably output content for
display.
• Supports EDID and HDCP transmission — DDC channels
are actively buffered, allowing continuous communication between
source and display.
• RS-232 control port — Enables the use of serial
commands for complete control and configuration via the Extron
Windows®-based control program, or integrated into a control
system. Extron products use the SIS™ - Simple Instruction Set
command protocol, a set of basic ASCII commands that allow for
quick and easy programming.
• Front panel USB configuration port
• LED indicators for signal presence, HDCP, and power —
Provides visual indication of system status for real-time feedback
and monitoring of key performance parameters.
• Compatible with all DTP 230 Series receivers and
DTP-enabled products — Enables mixing and matching with
desktop and wallplate receivers, as well as other DTP-enabled
products to meet application requirements.
• Includes LockIt® HDMI cable lacing brackets

Protocol is mirrored between the connected DTP 230
Rx and the Over DTP output port. Signals from a control device pass

The Over DTP port is a pass-through connection to the DTP endpoint.
There is no RS-232 or IR insertion from the DTP T FB 232 control
