20-inch Widescreen Multi-format Professional LCD Monitor

The new LMD-2030W is an elegant 20-inch widescreen LCD monitor designed to complement the Sony High Definition Video (HDV) product range. LCD displays are increasingly replacing CRT monitors in the commercial arena due to their increased operational flexibility and lower total cost of ownership. Equipped with a HDMI interface as standard, this new entry-level monitor is an ideal match for professional and semi-professional high-definition applications.

The new model retains all the advanced features of its market-leading predecessor - the standard definition LMD-2010/2020 - but it now incorporates an enhanced resolution 1680x1050 WSXGA+ widescreen LCD panel and HDMI socket. Displaying high brightness and high contrast images, it also offers a superior viewing angle of 178 degrees.

The LMD-2030W wins hands-down In terms of breadth of operation and performance when compared to standard PC monitors: - video image reproduction is far superior due to its moving picture optimisation circuitry and colour temperature and Gamma control. The new model also offers a wide range of video interfaces including composite, Y/C, and component / RGB, all with professional BNC connectors. And it doesn't end there - it also incorporates many studio-based features found in mid and high-end broadcast Sony monitors - a boon for professional users.
