When a small, lightweight, inconspicuous microphone for top-quality
recordings or measurements is required, the compact design and
clean, transparent sound of our versatile 4007C is the perfect
choice. 4007C is, due to its linear qualities and perfect
omnidirectionality, also used as reference microphone in both
microphone comparisons and acoustic test equipment, not least
thanks to its extremely linear on-axis response in an extended
frequency range from 10 Hz to 40 kHz (±2 dB). This mic is also
popular with musicians for close-miking instruments such as drums,
percussion, double bass, trumpet and piano.
The 4007C has through its total acoustical transparency and
ultra-high SPL handling capability gained a reputation as being
among the preferred choices for picking up drums, percussion and
brass instruments, whenever the natural and non-distorted result is
paramount. Furthermore, the 4007C can be mounted, hung or concealed
to create clean, transparent recordings. It is ideal in theatres,
opera and concert halls or places of worship.
At any time and with no tools necessary it is possible to transform
the basic 4007A microphone into a new configuration by combining it
with another DPA microphone capsule or preamp. |
